About Grant
We are excited to introduce the Tato Recruiting Grant Program, made possible through our partnership with Tato Recruiting. Both grants will generously cover the full registration fees for an entire season, allowing talented young athletes to pursue their athletic aspirations without financial barriers. This program offers two distinct streams: 1) Tato Recruiting Indigenous Grant, designed to support Indigenous athletes on the Temiskaming Thunder Rep teams who demonstrate exceptional leadership. 2) TATO Recruiting Financial Support Grant, which is available to athletes exhibiting strong leadership skills and facing financial constraints. The TATO Recruiting Financial Support Grant must be submitted by a parent or guardian on behalf of the athlete (unless the athlete is over 18 or under special circumstances wishes to apply independently), while the TATO Recruiting Indigenous Grant can be submitted by either the player or their parent/guardian. To ensure privacy, recipients of the Financial Support Grant will remain confidential, with names not disclosed publicly or to the athletes themselves, safeguarding equity for all applicants. In contrast, the Indigenous Grant recipients will be announced, as this initiative aims to raise awareness and provide continuous opportunities for Indigenous athletes in our area.
